This is a list of contents that are a sub-set of Level 1 gear.  Missouri 3-2 militia members are encouraged to assemble these items into a pack and begin bringing it to training sessions as a matter of routine.

• Backpack
• Improved First Aid Kit (IFAK)
• Compass
• Binoculars
• Folding Knife
• Sheath Knife
• Light and Batteries
• Bandanna
• Toilet Paper secured in a plastic bag, such as Ziploc
• 25′ of 525 Paracord
• Snack
• A means to start a fire
• Tape – Duct Tape or Electrical Tape
• Gloves
• Water
• Eye Protection
